Top Fives: Long-Range Strikes - No 2 Fabregas

This summer on Arsenal.com, the fans are choosing their favourite Arsenal moments from the Premier League era.
Supporters have already cast their votes in 10 categories - now it's time to reveal the results.
We're focusing on Arsenal's finest LONG-RANGE STRIKES this week with expert analysis from two former Gunners, Kenny Sansom and Martin Hayes.
In second place with 21 per cent of the vote is Cesc Fabregas' stunning strike against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in 2007.
Read on for the story of that goal and click on the black box for our video feature with Kenny, Martin and presenter Mark Pougatch.
On Friday we'll reveal which long-range strike finished top of the poll.

FABREGAS v TOTTENHAM (A) 15-09-2007

If you want to finish high in polls like this, a spectacular goal at White Hart Lane usually does the trick.
This one came back in September 2007 at a time when the then 20-year-old Cesc Fabregas was not really regarded as a goalscoring midfielder in the Premier League. Strikes like this soon changed that perception.
After Gareth Bale’s 15th-minute opener for Tottenham, Arsène Wenger’s men had to wait until just after the hour-mark for Emmanuel Adebayor to equalise. Then, with 10 minutes left on the clock, Arsenal took the lead.
Alexander Hleb started a counter-attack by finding Robin van Persie inside the Gunners’ half. The striker found Tomas Rosicky who in turn fed Fabregas 35 yards from goal.
The Spaniard took one touch and, with the Spurs back-four still backing off, he let fly. The searing right-foot effort flashed across Paul Robinson into his top right-hand corner.
It was a worthy match-winner.
